ŌTAMARĀKAU SCHOOL SURF FISHING COMPETITION 2025
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the sponsorship and donations towards our 2025 Ōtamarākau Surf Fishing Competition.
Thanks to the generosity of businesses, whānau and individuals, we successfully raised $37,000 for our small rural school! These funds will go towards upgrading our ICT equipment, purchasing literacy and numeracy resources, supporting students with their learning needs, and—if funds allow—contributing to a much needed new bike shed.

Surf Lessons
In Term 1 very Wednesday a group of keen tamariki headed over to the Mount. The tamariki would meet with Travis and Tom from South Pacific Surf and they would learn how to surf and stay safe in the water. They all loved Wednesday's and learning new skills while having a great time at the beach. We were all so impressed with the progress each child made and the life of surfing they came away with. The stoke was real. A huge thank you to Travis and his team you made each session exciting with your passion for surfing. If you are keen for some lessons these guys were amazing. Also a huge thank you to Whaea Arnie for making it happen.
